Things to do and see
Chateau Ratilly is about a 5 minute walk from the house . Visit these SUPERB Chateaux and Gardens and Art Centre.

For the more energetic, hire a Water bike ( Pedalo) , or a Canoe on the Picturesque Lac du Bourdon, barely 12 Km away. The Bourdon lake also has a long sandy beach where you can go swimming, or go fishing for the superb Bream, Carp and Pike which abound here.

Toucy which is 24 kms away has all amenities, supermarkets, banks, ,restaurants, shops etc and on Saturday mornings there is the large open air market throughout the streets famous for its fresh fruit and vegetables and foods and wines of the region, then in the evenings in the summer the “Aperi concerts” are held outdoors . Toucy also has a large open air swimming pool and tennis courts and the Tourist train which travel throught the countryside to Saint Sauveur en Puisaye.

Further afield there are many other things to see and do in this exceptional region. Experience the lifestyle of Burgundy, fine foods and wines when you visit the towns of
Chablis,
Sancerre,
Pouilly,
Irancy etc.

Take a trip on a canal boat on the Yonne or try your hand at sailing or horseriding. There are also many interesting places to visit such as Guedelon where a medieval castle is being built in the surrounding of St Fargeau with only the means and equipment which were used the the 13th century. At St Fargeau during the summer months the night time historical pageant is not to be missed. Visit the cathedral at Vezelay and enjoy live concerts or visit the potteries at St Armand.
