About Us

Gite Petite is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is an ideal base for a walking or cycling holiday. Bicycles are available for hire from Treigny mairie (town hall). The adventure park of Boutissant and it’s neighbouring wild-life park are about a five minute drive away. A little further is Lac Bourdon which offers swimming, boating and fishing among other activities or lack of them if you just want to take a stroll or have a picnic.

Gite Petite is within an hours drive from the world famous Burgundy wine towns of Chablis, Pouilly sur Loire and Sancerre (not actually a Burgundy wine but close enough to be claimed by some). It is also near to the high quality but reasonably priced wines of Irancy, Coulanges, Saint Bris and the Côtes d’Auxerre. The similar Côtes de Giennoise are nearby.

Gite Petite offers a large garden , with a Private BBQ area and a splash pool. We are only 15 minutes walk from the village of Treigny, which is a lively village, which frequently has exhibitions of the work of local artists, craftspeople and potters. It also hosts an annual international pottery market. Treigny has a traditional bakery, a small supermarket , 2 bars, one of which serves very reasonably priced Burgundy cuisine and a Post Office. There is also a hairdresser and a Doctors Surgery should you need one.

The Gite has a double bedroom and there is a futon bed-settee in the living room. We also have a cot and high chair for our smaller visitors. A WiFi Internet connection is also available.
